Selva Espiral

  • Selva Espiral is the guitar duo consisting of Daniel Reyes Llinás and Cesar Quevedo Barrero. The duet explores a unique musical language called “paleo-futurismo”, which draws from ancestral, indigenous, and pre-Hispanic musical traditions while integrating modern experimental guitar techniques and textures. The music of Selva Espiral is inspired by the legacy of Ernesto "Teto" Ocampo, a Colombian composer and guitarist known for fusing Andean, Caribbean, and indigenous Colombian music with avant-garde and minimalist approaches. Teto’s influence can be heard in the rhythmic structures, modal colors, and spiritual undercurrents of Selva Espiral’s work.

Chamberlain / Gonzalez

  • Eliot Chamberlain & Soliana Gonzalez have been writing songs, harmonizing & performing together in Portland since March 2020. They could be described as a folk duo - though their music draws from a wide array of traditions & inspirations. Soli grew up climbing trees in N.Y. state, singing with her sisters, making art & falling in love with early folk, rock & latin music of her Colombian heritage. Meanwhile, Eliot is your classic West Coast bluegrass banjo player turned psychedelic rock guitarist & songwriter, moving from Santa Cruz to Portland in 2013. Considering their distinct backgrounds, geographical origins & styles, it’s almost uncanny how well their music coalesces.

  • Performance Description: Chamberlain / Gonzalez features original songs, vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar and fingerpicking; they draw inspiration from many genres including: early English folk, American roots, jazz, Latin, protest, 60/70s, world music, etc. C/G has had the pleasure of working with and opening for Haley Heynderickx, and Mike Coykendall.
